課程概述

本課程目的一是要介紹各位同學影響廣泛，及理論上或研究方法上創新的大洋洲民族誌。另外是介紹各位近幾年研究的嘗試。期望學期結束時，各位能掌握大洋洲在近年人類學理論與方法的檢討與嘗試上的地位。書的選擇盡量涵蓋此區主要的島嶼。本學期課程分為三個主要的部分，1. 總論；2. 歷史與國家，主要以密克羅尼西亞為例，涉及歷史的結構與建構。大洋洲新興國家多屬群島組成，或是如巴布亞新幾內亞，面臨內部明顯的多樣性，與複雜或特殊的殖民歷史，使得國家的整體性需要清楚的論述與技術以促成想像與有效的治理。3. 在全球化的過程中，基督宗教、觀光與移民早已構成大洋洲日常生活的一部分，第三部分的讀物以波里尼西亞研究為主。

課程目標

課程要求

上課方式：共有八本書包含民族誌、傳記與斷代史。同學須分工選定書籍，負責細讀並報告的書。
上課時，每周負責同學擇要報告書的特點，並帶領討論。
非負責同學，須在周一下午五時以前，以電子郵件提出兩個中肯問題。
